Pa John Orock was born of Mary Agbormbuo from Ebarensi quarters in Ossing Village and Mr. Tabot Orocketa fo Messing, Bachuo Akagbe, Upper Banyang Sub-Division, Manyu, Southwest Region in Cameroon on June 16th, 1942.
He attended Catholic School Bachuo-Akagbe and Catholic School Okoyong through standard six; and joined the Cameroon Police Force on June 1st 1960 where he served until his retirement in 1993.
Pa Orock, was a devoted Catholic.
He was initiated into the Mighty Ekpe in 1973. Completed his Ekpe basic training (Ekpe bush) in 1979. He then was upgraded to Etobetobentui (Deputy Chief) in 1982 and Sessekou in January of 2011. He was presented to the public as Nfor Mgbe (Sessekou) John Tambe Orock on May 7th 2011. This event, as he described it, was the happiest day of his life.
The late Sessekou had a complete life, and leaves behind a widow, Mammy Emmerencia Orock, and nine children: Antonia Agbor Mbu, Stella Bakor Elokobi, Vivian Ebika Arrey, Nicollet Effundem Bisingi, Eric Tabot Orock, Terence Ebini Orock, Lucia Aya Orock, Emmanuel Kingsley Njang Orock and Jude Nkwomen Orock.
